KSLA Cambria/Somerset at Fort Ligonier Tuesday, September 24, 2019 5:30-7:30PM Together with the Cambria County Reading Council, we are offering a guided tour of Fort Ligonier. Participants will gain insight, ideas, lesson plans, and activities to take back into the classroom as well as gain knowledge of our local history during the French and Indian War. Two Act 48 hours are being offered for this event. Admission is $25, which includes a Subway sub, chips, cookie and water.
Fall Book Study October 10 & 24, November 14 & 18, 2019 4:15-6:15PM This fall we will be reading "Mindsets in the Classroom" by Mary Cay Ricci. We will have a total of 4 meetings of 2 Hours each for a total of 8 Hours Act 48. Meetings will be held October 10, October 24, November 14, and November 18 from 4:15-6:15 PM at St. Peter School. Cost is purchase of the book.

Trick-or-Treat Stroll and Read Saturday, October 26, 2019 10AM-12PM Join us as we share our favorite Halloween stories with children in our area! By volunteering two hours of your time to read a story, you will help spread a love of reading to local children AND earn 2 hours of Act 48 credit. Win win!!

Olsavsky, a married father of three presently residing in the scenic Laurel Highlands in southwestern Pennsylvania, has completed his new book "The Adventures of Cadet Cody": an entertaining reflection on an unforgettable year. Teaching Nonfiction Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 PM Annette Whipple, author of children's nonfiction literature, celebrates curiosity, especially through her informational books for children. Look for The Truth About animal series, including WHOOO KNEW, WOOF, and SCURRY (Reycraft Books) as well as THE LAURA INGALLS WILDER COMPANION.
